GHOR (SW): Taliban kidnapped three employees of the Election Commission and two police officers in Ghor province today.
Mohammad Iqbal Nezami, spokesperson for the police headquarter in Ghor said that the incident occurred at around 1 pm today (Tuesday) in Allah Shahr area of Feroz Koh city.
Nezami said that three employees of the election commission along with two police officers have been kidnapped by the Taliban and preassembly been transferred to the areas under the control of Taliban group. However, Nezami informed that efforts are underway to free these people.
Fazlullah Jalali, chairman of the Independent Election Commission of Ghor also confirmed the incident, however, refused to provide further details.
The Taliban have not yet said anything in this regard.
