GHAZNI CITY (SW): Local officials in Ghazni said that the militants shot dead 12 men yesterday afternoon in the province.

Jawed Salangi, the spokesperson for Ghazni Governor, told Salam Wantadar that the Taliban abducted the men a while ago and finally shot them dead yesterday afternoon in Kamakheyl village in Andar district.

Muhammad Qasim Desiwal, district chief in Andar, said that the victims were the passengers who were abducted by the militants on Kandahar- Ghazni and Ghazni-Paktika highways over the last three days.

Desiwal said that the dead bodies remain unidentified but it is likely that a number of security personnel was also among those who were abducted from Ghazni-Kandahar highway a few days ago.
