Taliban enter new coalition with Albadr, Lashkar-e-Tayeba and Jayesh
KABUL (SW): Security officials informed of Taliban’s increased activities during the current year.
Briefing the lawmakers in the parliament, Massoud Andarabi, the Acting Director of National Directorate of Security (NDS) said that Taliban seek to increase their political and militarily activities.
He said that the militants in cooperation with Lashkar –e-Tayeba, Albadr and Jayesh Mohammad groups, are after achieving their goals which are to increase their political and militarily activities.
He assured the lawmakers that the security organs are fully prepared to defend against such activities.
He said that the security organs have nearly thwarted 4 thousands offensives of the militants over the past year.
Qadam Shah Shaheem, Chief of Army Staff, briefed the parliament on a 5-year strategic plan which would be introduced in the upcoming Warsa Conference.
He urged upon all security organs in the country to ensure coordination between each other.
Denying the rumors on deals over the collapse of districts and provinces to the militants, he said that there has never been such a deal.
He said that they have conducted mop-up operation called Shafaq in six provinces of the country in a bid to defend any Taliban’s offensives.
He added that they would never spare any efforts to ensure stability and security across the country.
He assured that the current year would be better in terms of security than the previous one.
