PUL-I-KHOMRI (SW): The Taliban militants have attacked a convoy of prisoners that was on its way from northern Baghlan province to the capital Kabul on Saturday.
At least 4 people, including a female prisoner and 3 policemen have been killed, and 3 other policemen have been injured. A security source, who asked not to be named in the report, told Salam Watandar that the convoy was attacked near Salang-e-Shamali (northern Salang Pass) area.
The Taliban reportedly escaped the area when the security forces reached the site. Some reports suggest clashes are still underway. The Taliban have not commented about the incident.
