SHEBERGHAN (SW): Infighting between the Taliban and pro-Daesh militants has at least 15 lives on both sides, local officials have confirmed.
Mohammad Reza Ghafoori, spokesman for the governor in Jawzjan, told Salam Watandar the militants have clashed in the Baiksar and Khanqa areas of the Qosh Tapa district. He said up to 11 Taliban fighters and 4 pro-Daesh militants died while three Taliban members and one militant associated with the pro-Daesh group got wounded in the clashes.
The spokesman went on to claim the pro-Daesh fighters have torched the dead bodies of five Taliban militants while confiscating their arms and motorcycles. Ghafoori mentioned both sides brought their armed supporters from Nangarhar, Ghor, Faryab, Badghes and Sar-e-Pul provinces for clashes in Qosh Tapa. He added internal differences between the two groups have caused these clashes.
Nor the Taliban neither the pro-Daesh militants have commented on this matter.
