KANDAHAR CITY (SW): A suicide car bombing on Monday claimed the lives of eleven students of a religious seminary in Kandahar.
Mati Ullah Helal, spokesman for the police headquarters, informed a convoy of Romanian soldiers was targeted by a suicide bomber in the Damaan district. He confirmed 11 students of a religious seminary got killed and 16 people, including 5 Romanian soldiers got wounded in the attack.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
Abdul Qayum Pukhla, head of the Directorate of Public Health, has confirmed the casualties. He informed all wounded brought to public hospital for treatment are civilians.
Officials informed women and children are among those killed and wounded.
