JALALABAD (SW) – A suicide blast ripped through a crowd of protesters in Nangarhar killing at least 68 people and leaving over 150 others wounded.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the governor of Nangarhar province, informed the suicide attack took place on the main Torkham highway in Momand Dara district
Eye witnesses said members of the local Shinwari tribe had gathered for a protest demonstration against targeted killings when the lone attacker detonated his explosives killing at least 68 people and wounding more than 150 others.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
