JALALABAD (SW) – A suicide bomber killed at least ten people in an attack on a security check post in Jalalabad city’s sixth district on Tuesday, an official informed.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor, informed Salam Watandar the incident took place close to the Khalis Family square at around 09:40 am. He said four people got wounded in the attack. Among the dead included two security personnel and eight civilians, Khogyani added.
Investigations into the incident have commenced, and the details would be shared with the media later, he said.
A security source informed children are among the victims of this attack. According to eyewitnesses, a nearby fuel station caught fire after the blast inflicting damage and casualties.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
