KABUL (SW) – A number of former employees of the now defunct chief executive’s office have said they have not received their salaries for the past many months.
One such former employee told Salam Watandar on condition of anonymity that they have not been paid the salaries since the inaugural of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani back in March. He said that a number of employees of the defunct chief executive’s office are currently working without pay at the High Council of National Reconciliation under its chief Abdullah Abdullah.
Another source told Salam Watandar, on condition of anonymity, that the former staff of this defunct office was awaiting new appointments at the HCNR, and some have already been incorporated in this newly established body.
Meanwhile, secretary of the HCNR Qahaar Aabed, confirmed that the staff of the defunct chief executive’s office are no more paid their salaries from that address. He, however, promised the issue would be resolved soon.
