KABUL (SW) – The Stability and Partnership team led by Abdullah Abdullah has called for a march to protest against alleged vote fraud and electoral irregularities.
Eamel Sapi, a spokesman for the team, told Salam Watandar they would not stop protesting until their demands were met.
But, Hava Alam Nuristani, head of the Independent Election Commission, rejected reports of pressure on the commission, and said that the commission is moving forward in accordance with the law.
The Interior Ministry has called for any rally to be within the parameters of the law and has said it should not disrupt public order.
Police spokeswoman, Marwa Amini has told the media that the police is ready to respond to any unrest.
