KABUL (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has pronounced terrorist threats and administrative corruption as the main obstacles faced by the government.
Addressing the 3rd Senior Officials Meeting in Kabul, Ghani highlighted the reforms brought, progress made and other achievements of the government on various fronts. He stressed the National Unity Government is determined to uproot corruption and bring reforms in the security sector.
Addressing the moot, Tadamichi Yamamoto, the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and head of UNAMA, acknowledged the practical steps taken by the government towards countering corruption. On his term, Finance Minister Eklil Hakimi assured the international community that Afghanistan remains committed to abide by its promises for reforms.
