KABUL (SW) – At least six people were killed and 23 others wounded in multiple explosions in Karta-e-Sakhi area of Kabul on Thursday.
The Ministry of Public Health has confirmed 6 people got killed and 23 more got injured. The security forces have cordoned off the area.
There were a number of people in the area to celebrate the Nauroz when the explosions rocked the area.
Last year, a suicide bombing killed 29 people in the same vicinity also during the Nauroz celebrations.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has condemned the attack. In a statement issued by the presidency, Ghani said that by committing such criminal acts, the terrorists once again demonstrated their hostility towards the peace and tranquility of the Afghan people.
