MAIMANA (SW): Security Officials in Faryab province reported on recapturing parts of Ghormach district and the killing of 130 Taliban in the province on Friday.
According to these security officials, the Taliban insurgents killed during one week are due to air and ground operation Navid 6 under the framework of operation Khalid which was launched in Ghormach district and 90 more Taliban insurgents are injured
General Amanullah Mobin, the commander of 209 Shahin Corps in the north of the country, who led the operation Navid 6, told a presser in Faryab that the security forces recaptured the fallen parts of the Ghormach district.
“In the course of the operation, hundreds of security forces were rescued from the camps in Chinatown and the Army's third battalion in the center of Ghormach under the siege of the Taliban”, informed Mobin.
The commander of the 209 Shahin Corps said nothing about the casualties of the security forces in the operation.
So far the Taliban have not commented on their causalities to media.
