KABUL (SW): Abdul Rab Sayyaf, leader of Islamic Dawah Party of Afghanistan, has said that if the next parliamentary elections are not held or forged, the country will plunge into a crisis.
Sayyaf said at a press conference today that although the government has announced to hold election, but no measures have been taken to ensure it. The leader of the Islamic Dawah Party accused the National Unity Government of acting unilaterally. He charged the NUG leaders of not acting on the pledges they made for reforms.
This comes as the Independent Election Commission (IEC) officials have time and again expressed readiness for the long due elections in terms of identifying polling stations and taking measures for security. The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has set July 7, 2018 as the date for parliamentary elections.
