KABUL (SW) – A well-placed source has revealed interim minister for the Ministry of Interior, Amrullah Saleh, is set to join Mohammad Ashraf Ghani as proposed deputy in the forthcoming presidential polls.
Saleh was appointed as interim minister for the MoI last month. He is the founding leading of the Green Trend party. Saleh was appointed as state minister for reforms in the security sector two years ago, but he quit the post after a while.
The source has also informed that the current second vice president, Mohammad Sarwar Danish, and former education minister, Suraya Dalil, are also set to join Ghani’s electoral team.
This comes as the former National Security Adviser, Mohammad Haneef Atmar, has already submitted nomination papers with his proposed deputies, Mohammad Yonus Qanoni and Mohammad Mohaqiq.
