SHEBERGHAN (SW) – The protest demonstrations against the arrest of Nezamuddin Qaisari and for the return of vice president Abdul Rasheed Dostum to country entered 17th day.
Protesters in Jawzjan have closed down office of the governor, 33 public offices and 6 non-government organizations while warning to launch national uprising if their demands for the release of Nezamuddin Qaisari and for the return of vice president Abdul Rasheed Dostum to country are not met.
Aamiruddin Danishjo, member of the provincial council, and Qudratullah Watan, head of the Junbish party’s youth wing, have said all public offices would remain closed until then.
In Badakhshan province, hundreds of protesters took to the streets against the government, and vowed to close down public offices. Similar protests were held in Faryab province.
The protests against arrest of Nezamuddin Qaisari and for the return of vice president Abdul Rasheed Dostum to country are getting intensive with the passage of time.
