GHOR (SW): A number of civil society activists in Ghor called for the dismissal of Gholam Nasir Khazeh, the governor of Ghor. The protesters who gathered in front of the provincial governor house charged the governor with weak management, lethargy and spreading ethnic division in the province.
The protesters claimed that the governor has not yet done any good work during his rule.
The terrorist groups have a widespread presence in many areas of Ghor especially on Ghor-Herat Highway, but the local administration has no plans to secure the area and start the development projects, protesters said.
The protesters vowed that until the governor is sacked, the protest will continue. However, the local officials in Ghor told Salam Watandar that these protests were organized by some who lost their jobs in the local administration.
Gholam Nasir Khazeh, the governor of Ghor told Salam Watandar that the protest is a constitutional right of the people, and called on the protesters to present their demands to the relevant authorities and promised that legal actions will be taken to solve their issues.
