ASADABAD (SW): Authorities in Kunar province claim jet fighters of Pakistan on Wednesday crossed the Durand Line and dropped bombs in Dangaam district.

Gul Mohammad Bedar, deputy governor, informed that the issue of violation of Afghanistan’s territorial integrity by Pakistan has been shared with top officials in Kabul. He said remote areas close to the Durand Line have been targeted by the Pakistani jets this morning.

According to the deputy governor, more than 300 mortar shells have been fired on Dangaam by Pakistani forces since yesterday forcing hundreds of families to flee their homes.

Local elders have confirmed these reports. Haji Fateh Noor and Taza Khan, two local elders, informed Salam Watandar that the Pakistani jet fighters hit Jetano Letay, Shaheedano Sar, Chaqori and adjacent villages in the district. They informed the locals are in desperate situation.

Gen. Ayub Hassankhel, commander of the Afghan Border Police (ABP) in the area, said they have not received any such reports.
