New township for repatriated families in Bamyan

BAMYAN CITY (SW): Minister for Refugees and Repatriates Syed Hussain Aalami Balkhi on Sunday laid foundation stone for a town dedicated for repatriates in Bamyan city.

He said on the occasion that this township would be built on modern lines. The minister said this township would be developed on 775 jeribs of land in the Qosqa desert area. The township would have 599 residential units with facilities such as two high-schools, hospital, mosque, park, bank, postal office and commercial center.

According to the provincial directorate for refugees and repatriates, some 8000 repatriated families have been registered here. Four thousands of them have registered for the new township.
