Neighboring countries finance war in Afghanistan

KABUL (SW): The leader of Hezb-e Islami said that some of the neighboring countries have been financing war in Afghanistan for more than two decades.

Gulbadin Hekmatyar, the leader of Hezb-e Islami today (Friday), condemned terrorist attacks in which civilians are being killed at a party council meeting in Kabul. He said the terrorists are hated by everyone in every dress.

According to Hezb-e Islami leader, any means that will continue the war in Afghanistan should be eliminated.

Gulbadin Hekmatyar, leader of Hezb-e Islami referring to his previous statements he made yesterday said that the media have misinterpreted his words; he has not said the war in Afghanistan is between the two ethnic groups.

Mr. Hekmatyar addressed the heads of the government saying “if you want the end of the war in Afghanistan, you must first stop the looting of military equipments and setup”.

Before this, some Afghan government officials also accused the intelligence agencies of the neighboring countries, in particular Pakistan, of fomenting the war in Afghanistan, and based on some reports, Iran and Russia had been accused for supporting Taliban.
