TAKHAR (SW): At least 40 girl students were poisoned in Khwaja Bahaudin district in Takhar province according to sources. Khalil Asir, the spokesperson for the Takhar Police said the incident took place today in a girls’ school in zone 3 of Khawaja Bahudin district and the poisoned students were transferred to the district health center.
According to Khalil Asir, one of these students is in critical condition. Asir added that the reason for the poisoning of these students has not been known yet, however, the police have begun its investigation to find out the causes.
Two weeks ago, in a similar case, more than 30 female students were poisoned in Bamiyan province as well.
