PUL-I-ALAM (SW) – A group of university students have arranged to provide free education to hundreds of needy children in Laghman province.
Some students of Nangarhar University joined hands to ensure war-weary poor children not having the financial means are not deprived of basic education. Ezatullah Marwaan, student at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, said many children are deprived of education here due to ragging insecurity.
He informed up to 300 children, including 100 girls, have obtained free education through their initiative.
Sangar Sahel, manager of financial affairs at this charity, said the group faced many obstacles in the beginning.
This unique initiative by the university student to provide free education to needy children in a public park has been hailed by Laghman residents.
