
GHAZNI (SW) – The Special Forces of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) have killed four Taliban rebels and arrested 36 more in restive Andar district of the province.
According to the provincial administration, an over-night raid was conducted on the ‘Noor-ul-Madaras’ seminary in the district. In a statement, it noted the NDS forces handed over 25 captives to the Afghan National Army (ANA) and took away the rest, including two Taliban commanders, Abu Danish and Abdullah, with them.
The statement added arms, ammunition and vehicles of the rebels have also been confiscated.
Meanwhile, the Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahed, has claimed the ‘U.S. forces raided this seminary and killed 3 students’ and took away 45 others with them.
In neighboring Qara Badh district, six Taliban rebels are reported killed in clashes with the local security forces.
