SHEBERGHAN (SW): Local officials in Jawzajan province said that 4 Uzbekistani pro-Daesh militants were killed by their own landmine in Chaqma Chiqor area of Qosh Tapa district on Saturday morning.
Mohammad Reza Ghafoori, the provincial governor’s spokesman, told Salam Watandar that 4 Uzbekistani pro-Daesh rebels were killed and 2 more were injured by a landmine made by themselves in Chaqma Chiqor village of Qosh Tapa district. “These Uzbekistani militants had hidden the landmines in sheepskin and wanted to target security forces, but the landmines detonated prematurely”, informed Ghafoori.
The governor's spokesman, expressing concern over the presence of Uzbekistani, Kyrgyz, Turkmenistani, Sudanese, Pakistani and Arab fighters in the province, said the Daesh group, with the presence of foreign fighters in Jawzjan province, want to build strong bases to threaten the neighboring countries.
The Daesh have not commented on the incident to media yet.
