KABUL (SW): The Officials of the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) on the occasion of signing contracts for road construction here in Kabul on Wednesday, said the 5 projects worth 1.4 million dollars will be implemented in 6 provinces by private companies.
Yama Yari, the acting Minister of Public Works, said on the occasion of inking the contracts said that these projects are funded by World Bank and will be implemented in Faryab, Badghis, Nuristan, Khost, Baghlan and Bamyan provinces. According to him, these projects will be completed in 17 months.
Abdullah Abdullah, the Chief Executive Officer of the country, present at the signing ceremony called the implementation of development projects important and added that the projects should not be halted for personal gains.
He emphasized on transparency in the implementation of infrastructural and developmental projects for quality assurance.
