Mehram: “Life is too short for hatred”

30/04/2018

KABUL (SW): Mehram Durani was among the nine journalists who lost their lives to the blatant terrorist attack in Kabul on Monday.

A former producer at Salam Watandar, Mrs. Durani would always tell her colleagues life is too short for hatred, live it with love and harmony. In her morning show on the radio, she would share fine moments of life with the countrymen, encouraging them towards a peaceful and healthy life away from the glitches.

In views of her colleagues, Mehram Durani had an upright character, smiling face and friendly attitude. She never imposed her views, but would always share her views and thoughts in a humble way, her colleagues recalled. This made her extremely popular among Salam Watandar radio listeners countrywide who would call and send messages to her.

In the ‘New Vision’ radio show, Mehram encouraged youth towards progressive and forward-thinking life. Until her last days at Salam Watandar, Mehran remained committed to her profession, and never compromised on the quality of the work.

Salam Watandar extends heartily condolences to her family and to the family and friends of all those who lost lives in Monday’s brazen attack.
