PUL-I-ALAM (SW) – The motor convoy of Logar governor, Anwar Khan Ishaqzay, was hit by a suicide car bombing on Sunday.
At least eight security guards lost their lives and 10 more got hurt in the attack.
The governor escaped unhurt. At a presser after the attack, Ishaqzay said he was on his way to the provincial capital, Pul-e-Alam, when the suicide car bombing hit his convoy in the Safaid Sang area of Mohammad Agha district.
The governor said he as well as the provincial head of the NDS were not hurt.
The Taliban have taken responsibility for the attack and killing ‘scores’ of security forces.
