LOGAR (SW): The local police in Pul-e Alam and Mohammad Agha districts are involved in the burglary, and assassinations causing increasing insecurity in the province, a number of residents of these districts said.
The accusation was made while insecurity has increased in the province and according to a number of the residents, the insecurity has increased after many local police forces have brought in to Logar from Khost and Kunduz provinces.
A number of these residents told Salam Watandar that it is likely that the transfer of the local police to Logar from other provinces and the increase in the insecurity in the province are preplanned.
However, Shahpoor Ahmadzai, the spokesperson for the Logar Police dismissed these allegations saying that if there is any proof that the local police are linked to criminal activities in the province; it will be investigated and dealt with per law.
Local government officials in Logar confirmed that Local police forces have been brought in from Kunduz and Khost provinces to Logar saying that their deployment to ensure security in Logar province was crucial.
