JALALABAD (SW) – Armed clashes between the loyalists to Zahir Qadeer, member of the Wolesi Jirga, and pro-Daesh rebels in Nangarhar have claimed multiple lives.
Malik Dehqan, a local commander of Qadeer informed Salam Watandar the clashes broke out in Nazyano district last night. H added 10 pro-Daesh rebels and two members of the militia got killed while many more got wounded. Three rebels have been captured, he added.
Spokesman for the provincial governor, Attaullah Khogyani, has confirmed these reports. He noted eight pro-Daesh rebels got killed in clashes with the local uprising force.
The militants have not commented on the incident so far.
