
KHOST CITY (SW): Residents in Khost province on Sunday staged a protest demonstration against the alleged killing of four civilians in a night-raid by the security forces.
The protestors claimed members of the local ‘Camp Forces’ under the command of the U.S. forces raided a house in the Zeray village of the Nadir Shah Kot district. They said the forces have allegedly killed two men, a woman and a child in this raid.
The protestors torched a police check post on the Kabul – Khost highway. Protestors also clashed with the policemen.
Dr. Abdul Hakeem and Moalim Yaqoob, two protestors, informed Salam Watandar on the occasion that the ‘Camp Forces’ stabbed these civilians to death, torched their home and took away four people with them. They went on to charge these forces of committing similar acts in the past as well.
Abdul Hanan Zazai, the interim police chief, has said an investigation team has been dispatched to the area to look into the incident. He promised those taken into custody would be released after investigations.
A while ago, residents of the Ali Sher and Terezoyeo districts levelled similar allegations against the ‘Camp Forces’.
