Kandahar police chief rejects fall of territory to Pakistan
KANDAHAR CITY (SW): General Abdul Raziq, Kandahar’s police chief has called the fall Loqman and Jahangir areas in Spin Boldak of the province to the Pakistani military as a rumor.
According to Gen. Abdul Raziq, military forces are stationed at both sides of the border without any advance on each other’s territory. He acknowledges that Pakistani military has established army outposts on their side based on the agreement between Kabul and Islamabad.
At least one month ago, the Afghan and Pakistani border police had exchanged fire at the Spin Boldak-Chaman border area resulting in several casualties on both sides.
