ISIS’s desert court rules on people’s cases in Darzab

JAWZJAN (SW): Nearly all districts in Darzab Jawzjan are under the control of ISIS and the government forces have been restricted to governor’s building and police headquarter.

Amanullah, Police Chief of Darzab district told Salam Watandar that the ISIS group controls all the villages in the district and the residents of the district have taken their cases and problems to the ISIS desert courts.

A number of Darzab residents that have witnessed the ISIS courts to rule on the cases of the public told Salam Watandar that ISIS will decide in whatever way they want and their decision will be implemented swiftly. According to the eyewitnesses, in the last case, ISIS shot a man who killed another man’s father.

Babur Ishichi, chairman of Jawzjan Provincial Council said he is worried about the expansion of ISIS’s activity in Darzab. He added that the ISIS group have been taken people with them by force and have trialled them in their desert courts.

Darzabad residents told Salam Watandar that the government has been restricted to governor’s building and police headquarter only and they have no other choice except to take their cases to ISIS and address their problems in their desert court. According to local sources, the ISIS group now controls 95% of the territory in Darzabd district.
