HERAT CITY (SW): A well-placed source has informed Salam Watandar that an Iranian drone has hovered over Afghanistan airspace in Herat province for at least three hours.
Meanwhile, Jailani Farhad, spokesman for the provincial governor, has said the government has received reports about a surveillance drone in the border areas with Iran, but it is not clear yet if it was an Iranian drone.
He said investigations are underway, and soon its findings would be revealed.
A while ago it was reported that an Iranian helicopter landed in the Taliban-controlled area in Farah province’s Qala-e-Kah district. However, this is the first time, a flight of an Iranian drone in Afghanistan airspace has been reported.
