KUNDUZ CITY (SW): The National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces have thwarted a bid for a terrorist attack in Kunduz by dismantling an improvised explosive device placed in a baby wrapper.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the NDS stated a couple, their minor child, and three other men were stopped by the security forces when they were on their way to Kunduz City from the Imam Saheb district. It added the IED was hidden inside the baby wrapper.
The couple confessed a Taliban commander named Kheran compelled them to target a military vehicle in Kunduz city with this IED, it added. The explosive device has been dismantled and the suspects taken into custody.
