
JALALABAD (SW) – At least 11 people got killed in a roadside blast in Achin district of Nangarhar province on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor, told Salam Watandar a passenger car carrying civilians hit the roadside landmine killing seven people, including women and children. Eye-witness, however, claim up to 11 people got killed in the blast. All victims are said to be from the same family.
The spokesman added a second blast occurred immediately after the security forces reached the site, injuring two soldiers.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
