KABUL (SW) – At least eight people were killed and more than 30 others wounded following an IED blast at the entrance of the Kabul University, officials confirmed on Friday.
It is said the blast took place when scores of students were queuing-up for the faculty of medicine and medical board examinations. The admission tests for the 31st batch of medical board were scheduled for today.
According to the Ministry of Interior, an IED was placed in a car standing next to the entrance of the KU. The MoI has only confirmed the killing of four people in this attack while as the Ministry of Public Health spokesman, Waheedullah Mayar, said in a social media post that eight dead bodies and 33 injured people have been brought to public hospitals.
The Taliban have rejected their involvement in the attack.
