IED blast in Baghlan kills five people

PUL-I-KHUMRI (SW) – The governor of Tala Wa Barfak district in Baghlan told Salam Watandar at least five people got killed in an IED blast here.

The district governor, Abdul Ahad Ahmadi, said the IED blast took place in a volleyball match here last evening. He said the Taliban rebels are involved in the attack.

He said a Taliban commander and four civilians are among those killed in this attack and at least 20 more people got injured. He added most of the victims are young men and boys.

Head of the local public hospital in Pul-e-Khumri, Mohammad Anwar Wardag, said four wounded people have been brought to the hospital for treatment.
