KABUL (SW): Ahmad Wali Hotak, the Afghan Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter has left for Moscow to take part in the forthcoming fight night.
Hotak was seen off by Mahmood Hanif, acting president of Afghanistan Olympic Committee (AOC) here on Monday. According to the AOC, Hotak would take on his Russian competitor Ivan Cozechenko in Moscow on October 08. On his part, Hotak is the only Afghan MMA fighter who has remained undefeated in his fights so far.
Mehmood Hanif said on the occasion that though the IOC is dedicated for Olympics related events but it takes pride in promoting Afghan players in other sports as well. Hotak thanked the IOC for its support, and vowed to demonstrate good performance against Cozechenko. According to sherdog.com, the global authority on mixed martial arts, Hotak in his four international fights thrice defeated Indian counterparts while in one fight he defeated Russian Dada Dattattray.
