JALALABAD (SW): Four people got killed in armed assault on the guest house of a politician in Jalalabad on Friday, an official confirmed.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor, informed an armed attacker, a guard of the Wolesi Jirga (lower house) member, Faredon Momand, and two civilians got killed in exchange of fire. The civilians got killed when armed assailants entered their home while escaping from the site of the attack, he added.
According to the governor’s spokesman, five more people got wounded in this attack.
Meanwhile, Inamullah Miakhail, spokesman for the directorate of public health, has informed three dead bodies were brought to public hospitals.
The son of the WJ member, Taimur Momand, informed Salam Watandar the assault began with a suicide attack at the entrance of the guest house that was followed by exchange of firing.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for this attack.
