BAKU (SW): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has said the government in Afghanistan has gained unbelievable achievements in its three years of service so far.
Addressing the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process 7th Ministerial Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, President said that the Daesh militants in Afghanistan have been crushed, detached from foreign support and marginalized in the mountains. He added that the Taliban have also sustained defeat, and have no future in the country.
Addressing the conference on ‘Security And Economic Connectivity Towards A Strengthened Heart of Asia Region’, Ghani praised the Afghan Air Force, and said its size would be tripled. He stressed Afghanistan seeks state-to-state ties with Pakistan for peace . The President urged upon international community to investigate the deadly truck bombing in the Afghan capital Kabul’s diplomatic area in May.
An agreement for rail link is also likely to be inked during Ghani’s trip to Azerbaijan.
