KABUL (SW) – An exhibition of handicrafts produced by female inmates and victims of domestic violence was organized in Jawzjan province on Sunday.
Muslima Ghanizada, head of the directorate of women affairs, told the gathering in this connection that the move is aimed at finding a decent market for these products. She said the women are well-skilled and creative in such handicrafts, and such an exhibition can prove handy in economically empowering them.
The move has been hailed by women rights activists in the province.
