QALAT (SW): In an apparent ‘green on green’ attack, at least eight members of the Afghan Local Police (ALP) have been killed by in Zabul province.
A security source told Salam Watandar 2 policemen have shot their 8 colleagues dead in an outpost in Zabul province. The source, on conditions of anonymity, further said the incident took place on Friday evening in Loi Shara area of Siwari district. “The two men, after shooting the policemen, left the scene with arms, ammunition and other equipment”, informed the source.
Authorities said investigations into the incident are underway.
