SHEBERGHAN (SW): The Taliban and pro-Daesh rebels have freed the 32 abducted civilians in Jawzjan’s Qosh Tapa district following successful negotiations with the local elders.
Aminullah Aman, governor of the Qosh Tapa district, informed Salam Watandar that the abducted civilians were freed on Sunday, and the main highway leading to Darzab and Qosh Tapa districts has been opened for transport. He informed 20 civilians were under the captivity of the Taliban while 12 others were in the captivity of the pro-Daesh rebels.
The Taliban took down the men from different vehicles travelling on the highway leading to the Qosh Tapa district in the Gardan area on Sunday. The pro-Daesh militants committed the same act on the highway leading to the Darzab district in the Chaqma Chakoor area.
