CHIGHCHIRAN (SW): Doctors in Ghor’s general public hospital have protested against the disrespect by the deputy director of provincial chapter of National Directorate of Security to a doctor, resulting in shut down of the hospital on Monday.
The doctors have claimed that Mohammad Darya Baz, provincial deputy director of NDS, wanted to enter surgery room when a doctor protested his unapproved visit, the said doctor was disrespect by the deputy director.
Zia-u-Din Zamir, one of the protesting doctors, has said the provincial deputy NDS with his power abuse has disrespected all the doctors. Habiba, another protestor, said unless the deputy director is not questioned by the judiciary we will continue our protest.
Locals have said patients are in bad conditions and are in dire need of medical attention. They urged the provincial administration to meet the doctors' demand so that patients’ lives are saved.
Salam Watandar wished to talk to provincial Public Health Directorate and the hospital’s administration on the matter, but to no avail.
Mohammad Darya Baz, the deputy director of NDS in Ghor, rejected the allegations of disrespect and said “I was visiting the Taliban commander who was under treatment for interrogation. I was stopped by the doctor and I warned him against his behavior with the visitors”, justified Darya Baz.
