KABUL (SW) – Abdullah Abdullah, chief executive officer of the National Unity Government, made it clear on Monday terrorist groups would not be spared simply for surrendering to the government.
He said this addressing the cabinet session here. Abdullah said the pro-Daesh militants shall be treated as war-prisoners because they have committed atrocities against civilians in the north of the country.
The CEO also discarded reports about handing over territories to the Taliban in different parts of the country. He said those fighting against the government and people of Afghanistan would be considered enemies.
This comes amid harsh criticism over the government’s vague policy towards the terrorist groups.
