Currency trader shot dead in Herat

HERAT CITY (SW): Authorities at the public hospital in Herat told Salam Watandar two men have been shot in the provincial capital this morning.

Mohammad Rafiq Sherzai, spokesman for the public hospital, has said the victims were brothers, and were shot by unidentified gunmen in Herat city. According to the details, the victims were currency traders. One of the victims succumbed to his gunshot wounds and died in the hospital while the other victim’s condition is critical, informed the hospital officials.

Provincial police headquarters have confirmed the incident and said investigation has started. Abdul Ahad Walizada, provincial police spokesman, said the motive behind the incident is not clear.
