KABUL (SW): Amid the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim to Kabul, the members of the Committee of Parents of Afghan-Turk Schools’ students, at a gathering, protested the transfer of the management of the Afghan-Turkish Schools to the Turkish government.
The ‘Committee’ said some government institutions are against them and therefore all the decisions taken in relation to the Afghan-Turk schools have been taken illegitimately. The members of the Committee of the Parents of Afgh-Turk Schools called on the government to reconsider their decision as soon as possible.
According to them, if the visit of the Turkish Prime Minister to Kabul would lead to disruption of management of these schools, this would be contrary to the interests of the people of Afghanistan and the Turkish people defaming their historical ties.
Meanwhile, at a news conference with Turkish Prime Minister today in Kabul, Abdullah Abdullah the CEO of the National Unity Government (NUG) emphasized on the implementation of the agreement to transfer management of Afghan-Turk schools to Turkey government.
CEO Abdullah Abdullah said that agreements have been made in this regards, and after this, the Ministry of Education and Education Foundation will jointly monitor these schools.
However, under the pretext of being under pressure, the government of Afghanistan has surrendered to unreasonable demands of the Turkish government, the members of the Committee of Parents of Afghan-Turk Schools said.
