KABUL (SW) – A suicide car bombing in Jalalabad, capital of Nangarhar province, claimed at least 19 lives while more than 20 people got wounded, officials confirmed.
Dr. Najibullah Kamawal, director public health, told Salam Watandar 19 dead bodies and more than 20 wounded people have been brought to the public hospital in the city.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the provincial governor, said in this regard a number of the victims belong to the Hindu/ Sikh minority group who were on the way to meet the visiting president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.
A number of the wounded people are said to be in critical state.
