LASHKARGAH (SW) – Multiple blasts rocked the Farmers’ Day celebrations in Helmand province on Saturday.
Spokesman for the provincial governor, Umer Zwak, has confirmed the blasts, but did not share details of the damage caused by these blasts.
A number of government officials and security officials were present on the occasion.
The Ministry of Interior spokesman, Nusrat Rahimi, said at least three people got killed and more than 30 people got injured in this attack. He added two IEDs hidden at the venue caused the blasts.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has vehemently condemned this attack at a public place during a public gathering.
