JALALABAD (SW): As many as 15 civilians got killed and more than ten got wounded following blast at a funeral prayer’s gathering in Nangarhar on Saturday.
Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the governor of eastern Nangarhar province, informed Salam Watandar that the explosives were placed in a motorcycle that exploaded near the funeral prayer.
The attack took place on the outskirts of the city in Muqam Khan neighborhood where the locals had gathered for the funeral prayer of a district governor Haji Gul Wali of the Haska Maina who died a day earlier.
Dr. Ehsanullah Shinwari, director of regional public hospital in the provincial capital Jalalabad, has said bodies of 15 martyred and 14 injured people have been brought to the hospital.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility.
